A Tell Tale Hearts Storyteller’s Theater open mic night at Ashland Coffee and Tea led to yet another passion: Storytelling.  Coleen not only debuted in February, 2008, in the Tell Tale Hearts’ Fools for Love show, in June she showed up late to a meeting and is now the President.

In August, Coleen was shanghaied and now serves as a member-at-large of the Virginia Storyteller’s Alliance Board.

Coleen uses mostly true personal stories to touch and move her audiences to laughter, tears and suspense. Tell Tale Hearts member Les Schafer once compared her style to Garrison Keillor.

Coleen’s stories include:

“My Life’s Goal” 
          Audience reaction: “Your opening line captured me.”

“Conquered Heart”
            “I had no idea where the story would end; you had me at the edge of my seat.”

“Reunion.Mom”
            “I can absolutely relate. You moved me to tears.”
